Field Crops Worm Castings/VermaPlex® Application Rates

Worm castings application rates for field crops:
  • 20 pounds worm castings per 1000 square feet.
  • Seeds: place a 1/8 layer of castings to bottom of planting trench
  • Side dress plants every month or so during growing season with 1/4 inch worm castings

Crops per-Acre VermaPlex®  Applications

Application rates and number of applications for liquid fertilizer to various farm crops in the field:
Used with 20# of Black Castings™ per 1000 sq. ft. root growth area
(*Add 2.5 - 8 Gallons of VermaPlex® to 100 Gallons of Water. *Add 8 Ounces VermaPlex® to 1 Gallon of Water.)
Alfalfa
  1. Apply in early Spring and repeat after each cutting or heavy grazing:
    4 - 8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

Cotton
  1. At planting:

    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

  2. At pinhead square:

    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench


Field Corn
  1. At planting: 

    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

  2. At 20 - 30 inch growth stage: 

    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

  3. At tasseling:
     
    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

Peanut
  1. At planting: 
    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench
  2. Three weeks after emergence:
    4  -8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench
  3. Repeat every 7-14 days until harvest:
    8 oz. per 1000 sq ft

Rice
  1. At planting:   
    4 - 8 Gallons per acre

  2. At pinnacle initiation

    4 - 8 Gallons per acre

Soybean
  1. At planting:

    4 - 8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

  2. 1 - 2 applications during growing season:

    4 - 8 Gallons per acre applied foliar spray or drench

Sorghum
  1. At planting:

Wheat
  1. At planting:
