VermaPlex and Black Castings are powerful yet always safe to use. It's impossible to use too much. Unlike chemical fertilizers, the measurements for worm-created fertilizers are not crucial. However, these all natural plant foods are concentrated, so you get great results from a small amount. Since they are slow-released, you'll never have to worry about burning plants.

Plants from small pots and 6 packs:
- Mix 8 oz. VermaPlex in a gallon of water. Fill a pan with 2 or 3 inches of mixture. Place the pots in the pan to soak while you dig holes for the plants.
- Place a handful of Black Castings in each hole, put the plant in the hole, cover.
- Pour the VermaPlex mixture around each new transplant.
- Foliage feed plants with 4 oz. VermaPlex mixed with water in a pump sprayer in early morning or late afternoon every two to three weeks. It is very important to do the foliage applications to set fruit and again in two weeks after fruiting begins.
Plants From Larger Pots:
- Add 20% Black Castings to your potting soil. Do the root soak from above.
- Place a handful of Black Castings in the hole. Use the potting soil mix to back fill around the plant.
- Transplanting trees: Use one pound Black Castings per 1 inch caliper of trunk in the bottom of the planting hole and another pound around the drip line. Drench with VermaPlex mixture and do foliage sprays now and every month.
- Dig a furrow and line it with 1/4 inch Black Castings
- Place seeds in the furrow and back fill with garden soil.
- Drench the furrow with 4 oz. VermaPlex mixed in a gallon of water
- When the plants reach 6-8 inches, start the foliage spraying regime.
More Tips For Using Black Castings and VermaPlex
- Potting Soil: Add 1 part Black Castings with 4-5 parts of medium used.
- Established Houseplants and Container Plants:
Top dress monthly with 2 tblsp. Black Castings. Drench with VermaPlex mixture. - Perennials: Work 1/2 to 1 inch Black Castings into the soil above the root zone.
- Foliage feed plants every 2-3 weeks with the VermaPlex mixture.
As a Spray:
- For foliage and soil surface around plants.
- For lawn and shrubs after each cutting.
Mix 4 oz. VermaPlex to 1 gallon of water(1:20 to 1:40 ratio)
As a Drench:
- Every 7-14 days with watering
- After surface dressing of Black Castings.
Mix 2 oz. VermaPlex to 1 gallon of water (1:50 to 1:80 ratio)
Special Applications:
- Dip roots of all transplants before planting
- Paint large cut areas to increase microbe production
- Apply to compost to increase microbial activity.
- Use straight or mix 8 oz. VermaPlex to 1 gallon of water (1:0 to 1:15 ratio)
Generally:
- When you water your plants, add a tablespoon of VermaPlex per gallon of water for a "booster shot".
